If you were to ask me what my favorite room in our home was. I would have to say that our kitchen takes the lead, with our living room & library tied for second.
Reason being, it’s where meals come together that we can talk about our day, make plans and continue to learn about each other over. Whether we’re cooking for ourselves, our family or friends, chances are if you’ve come over, you’ve enjoyed something from our kitchen.
Which is why today, I would like to share with you some of my [and AJs] favorite kitchen items–
1. KitchenAid Standing Mixer I have had the same KitchenAid since I first moved to Northern Virginia in 2017. My dad came to visit, and he got me the KitchenAid mixer. This appliance is to thank for countless chocolate chip cookies & loaves of banana nut bread. I’ve even managed to get a few add-on pieces that have helped me make Colombian Buñuelos for my first Christmas with AJ, and make pasta from scratch!
2. COSORI Air Fryer This was a gift from AJ and I hands down never knew how much I’d grow to love this appliance – I really do use it quite often! I’ve even been able to make AirFryer Tostones, allowing me to enjoy one of my favorite dishes, without the guilt of oil in every bite.
3. Cast Iron Dutch Oven Now this beauty has multiple uses – First I can use it as a stove top pot for soups or pastas, but I have also used it to bake sour dough bread in and it did not disappoint! Bonus is that it comes in a bunch of fun colors, allowing some extra pop into your kitchen!
4. Hot Cold Water Dispenser In my past homes, we didn’t need one of these since our fridge had a water dispenser. But here in Germany, the water isn’t necessarily the safest to drink, so we got our hands on a hot/cold water dispenser and we absolutely love it. Especially the instant boiling water. We’ve already agreed we’d be buying one of these when we move to our next home in the states.
5. AirTight Glass Food Storage Containers These have been awesome – not only does the food not stain my container, but the bowl itself is safe to eat from. Awesome way to store any leftovers. They’re even nice enough to serve on the table, then just add a lid once you’re done.
6. Insulated Lunch Box What better way to take leftovers with to work than with an insulated lunchbox? I’ve been able to take multiple meals worth in this bag, and all the empty containers back home safely. 10/10 would recommend.
7. Disposable Sponge No one likes touching gross, dirty dishes so why should you? This little gadget came out on top because it allows a steady amount of soup to come out ensuring each dish is clean, and no time is wasted in the process!
