Month in Review: Reflecting on January’s Achievements and Looking Forward to February’s Adventures

January has been rewarding in so many ways – I have been able to focus on growth & change, and am beyond grateful for the opportunity to do so.

This month I:

  • Read 11 books for my: Gloss-Amberg Book club, ΦΜ Theta Gamma sisters Book club & Buddy Reads, along with my own picks. 7 of which were audiobooks.
  • Got to introduce my uncle Carlos to Deutschland – which was his first time in Europe.
  • Channeled my crafty/homesteading self by kicking off the year with making bread and sewing my first bag!
  • Focused on my mental & physical health
    • I made it a point to practice better expressing my feelings and hope to continue my mental health focused journey further.
    • I aimed to walk 30 minutes/day minimum on the treadmill. But I fell short after getting sick mid month.
    • I aimed for 100 ounces of water daily which I started off strong, but did pretty good the first half, but missed the goal the second half.
  • Went to Seville, Spain with a friend and had the best time escaping Germany’s winter.
  • Successfully posted on http://www.idkjacklyn.com every.single.day and loved it!

My only complaints about January was the cold, gloomy Bavarian weather and getting sick. Aside from that, January flew by and if the rest of this year is anything remotely close to my January wins, I am beyond excited for what the rest of 2024 will bring!
