Picadillo

Picadillo is a traditional dish in many Latin American countries including Mexico and Cuba, as well as the Philippines. It is made with ground meat. The name comes from the Spanish word picar, meaning "to mince".

- 1.5-2 LBS Ground Beef
- 1 Red Pepper - Chopped
- 1 Green Pepper - Chopped
- 1 Yellow Onion - Chopped
- 14 Oz Tomato Sauce Can or Crushed Tomato Can
- 1 Cup Frozen Peas
- 1 Peeled & Diced Potato
- 1 Packet Sazon
- 1 TBSP Garlic Powder
- 1 TBSP Onion Powder
- 1 TBSP Adobo
- 1 TSP Paprika
- 1/4 Cup Olives Optional
- 1/4 Cup Raisins Optional
Cook ground beef on Medium heat in a Large Pot or Dutch Oven
Peel & Dice Potato, add to pot
Dice Onion & Peppers, add to pot
Add Tomato Can and seasonings, mix well
Add frozen peas (+ optional raisins & olives), mix, let ground beef & veggie simmer on low
Serve over a serving of rice
