Getting into a new rhythm is tough, especially when it’s easier to just go to work and home, with some Netflix or scrolling in between. Problem is that over time, that neglect on yourself, mind & body, catches up.
So here’s to making better choices, and creating a life worth living —
- Pick a meal plan of some sort – maybe that’s low carb, high protein, keto, counting macros or intermittent fasting. Do some research and find a meal plan that works for you. Is it something you can realistically follow or is it so extreme you’ll give up after day 5?
- Select an Exercise Routine you can follow – what peaks your interest? – Joining a gym, following an in-person/online class, running, cycling, walking or weights?
- Stay hydrated – water is your friend – swap out sugary drinks with water, that alone will make a huge difference. Water intake also helps clear out toxins & does wonders for your skin. Win-win, right?
- Personal Development – whether that be through an audiobook, podcast or physical book – read. Keep your mind moving in the right direction, forward.
- Take your daily supplements and prescriptions – those vitamin D & daily vitamins are huge – they’re also as important to remember to take as any prescriptions your doctor prescribed. So buy that pill box and remember to take your daily pills.
- Organization – working towards a better you takes time out of your day, but remember to stay on top of your daily tasks at home. Organize your kitchen, bedroom, living room, clean our your car and do the laundry. Get into a routine so staying organized becomes the norm and never becomes so overwhelming you shut down.
- Have fun – I suggest carving out time to focus on a hobby, now that doesn’t have to be just one, but pick something that interests you and do it. Maybe go hiking once a week, read a book per week, write a blog, video game or sew a new bag. If it makes you happy, make sure to make time for it!
